The Joining Process

 

Membership at Woolton is the responsibility of our Membership Committee. We will conduct an interview that assesses your eligibility.

Golfing ability is important but not as important as what you would bring in becoming a member of our golfing community. You can apply as an individual or if you know members, ask them to propose and second you.

The interactive forms below can be completed on-line or printed off and sent into the General Manager. The application form must be completed for either method with the proposer and seconder forms also being completed for member introduction.

You will receive an invitation to attend the interview within a short period. The membership interviews are normally conducted on a monthly basis. Any proposals are then put forward for voting at the Board meeting which follows on from a period of 21 days notice in the Club House.

 

Membership Fees

 

At Woolton there are many different types of membership to suit both your circumstances and budget and you can even pay in instalments during the year.

Pro rata fees are applicable for all categories from July onwards.

Full Playing Members


Full playing members are entitled to year round access to the course, clubhouse and special events.

5-Day members

 

5-Day members are permitted to play on weekdays only. Use of the course on Saturdays and Sundays is not permitted under this category of membership although attendance at social events and general access to the Clubhouse is permitted at all times. It should be noted that most of the Men’s Competitions are held during weekends.

Colt members


As Full Playing Membership but available only to those within the following age ranges:

House membership permits full use of all Clubhouse facilities but excludes use of the course.

  1. Payment is due in full for Subscriptions, Union Dues and Locker Rents by 31 January 2012. Please note that under Article 42 of the Articles of Association "if Subscriptions are not paid or arrangements made prior to the 1st February the Member shall be charged a premium of such amount as may from time to time be determined by the Board of Directors, (£75 for Full Members)"".
  2. The union dues and public liability insurance are included in the annual subscription fee.
  3. Members who have held their Membership for an aggregate period of not less than 20 years and who are 70 years of age or over, may apply in writing to the Office for the appropriate reduction for that category.
  4. Colt Members (18-22) in full time education can pay a reduced fee if proof of FTE is provided.
  5. Colt Members (23-25) in full time education will pay 50% of the relevant subscription. The Club will require verification of this.
  6. Juniors -  If joining with an adult, £50 reduction in subs given to junior.
  7. Non-playing members retaining a locker will be charged the relevant fee. Country members will be required to pay an additional amount per round played: 6 rounds @ £15.00; Thereafter normal green fee applies.
