2010 LADIES CAPTAIN

Chris Kent is the 2010 Woolton Golf Club Ladies Captain. Chris worked in banking in Liverpool before retirement. She played hockey and squash, and to a higher level tennis. She was a member of Palmerston Tennis Club in Allerton, as well as the tennis section at Liverpool Cricket Club. Golf was the alternate sport in winter and she played with her friends at Allerton Golf club. However with the introduction of all-weather courts, tennis became an all year sport and golf was put to one side for a while. Her tennis career came to an end as the result of a knee injury and she joined Woolton 20 years ago. Now, weather permitting the Ladies Captain plays about twice a week in winter, more often in Summer, and also plays for Woolton in the Lancashire Ladies Handicap Shield.
