On a beautiful spring morning at Doe Park a large gallery watched the Captain Tony Blackburne drive off from the first tee. The members of Woolton Golf Club wish the Captain a very successful and enjoyable year.

Chris Kent is the 2010 Woolton Golf Club Ladies Captain. Chris worked in banking in Liverpool before retirement. She played hockey and squash, and to a higher level tennis. She was a member of Palmerston Tennis Club in Allerton, as well as the tennis section at Liverpool Cricket Club. Golf was the alternate sport in winter and she played with her friends at Allerton Golf club. However with the introduction of all-weather courts, tennis became an all year sport and ...
